What a Week!

I have totally been slacking!  Not really, I've been more focused on creations in my craft room than being on the computer, so...I supposed that's a good thing.  Darn it!  A stupid cold caught me...yes, I said "caught me" because I certainly don't go out looking to catch a cold..ha ha ha. This past weekend was very productive, I was able to make 12 cards and get all the pages stuck to the chipboard for a mini album. Mini album pics to come later.  Below are some pictures from this past weekend's creations. ;)

This fun "quilt" patterned card was inspired by Marge Dady from the Crafter's Companion Information blog. I started with a 6 1/4 x 9 inch white cardstock base, scored and folded in half. I layered a bright green piece of cardstock cut just smaller than the front. The "quilt" squares are from my scrap stash and cut using a 1" Fiskars paper punch.  The elf is from a super cute set of rub ons that I purchased year before last at the Great Lakes Scrap Convention in Novi, MI, the elf is on a rounded square piece of white cardstock then mounted on a piece of black cardstock that I cut and embossed using the Spellbinders square die. The elf ensemble is adhered to the card base in the center of the quit squares using 3D pop dots and accented with glitter and a little puff ball on the stocking cap.  The Merry Christmas banner is cut from a scrap piece of dark green paper, mounted on white and stuck to a black banner cut out. I had these banner stickers that I just loved...so I saved the backing and cut out the backing and now use the empty sheet as a template for banners in any color I want.  Of course, I accented the tag with glitter! The corners needed a little something extra, too...so I added a couple of present stickers popped up with 3D pop dots. This card was so fun to make, I can't wait to make more with different quilt type patterns.

I was also able to get all of these cards made, too.  There are several different versions of the Let It Snow cards on the red polka dot paper :)  These are my favorites with the "blinged out" snowflakes in the corners. All of these Christmas cards were created with the Big On Christmas set from Stampin' Up and accented with glitter, jewels and googly eyes.

Thanks for stopping by,
Ange
